In the second part of this Feature,
Colby and
McKenzie Bauer, co-Founders of
Thread Wallets, continue the conversation about their minimalist wallet company, ThreadWallets. The duo pulls back the curtain into their personal lives. Colby talks about the struggles he grew up with. He matured in a house of alcoholism, but it shaped him into who he is now, and he learned valuable lessons along the way. As the couple grew together, so did their brand. They reinforced how difficult relationships and business is – especially when you’re working on them both simultaneously. Colby outlines that struggling during the process makes the reward even more fulfilling and worthwhile. These two believe in constantly adapting their company and answering the calls from the market. With their new product launches of a Chapstick holder and lanyard, they help fill gaps in the market. They recount how the initial product launch was a fun, quirky product, but they’ve seen their brand expand as they add complementary products to their lineup.
In part two, Colby and McKenzie dive into their childhood, the importance of family, and mental health issues in the workplace.
