To provide affordable and reliable emergency backup solutions to every household in the United States, that’s the mission of Generark. In the first part of this episode, we have Anson Liang, Founder and CEO of Generark, a consumer electronics brand.
Anson has a background in computer science and engineering. He got the idea for Generark four years ago when the California wildfires caused a four-day power outage for his family. With a six-month-old baby at home, he experienced first-hand the stress of not being able to store or prepare foods to feed his child when the power was out.
His business idea turned into a reality through connections, putting together a team, finding a manufacturer, and partnerships in the industry. However, early on, there were many challenges, ranging from budgeting for additional product development, forecasting, and inventory.
In part 2, he discusses:
* His Gratitude towards his wife
* Overview of the company
* The catalyst for starting the brand
* His life before Generark
* A product for the modern home, friendly and simple
* Challenges with hardware
