“Always across mood, mind, and body” are the areas that Zolt’s products look to affect. Today we have Ani Collum and Douglas Siegel, Co-Founders of Zolt, a wellness brand in the plant-powered beverage space.
Ani was psychology and Spanish major in college. She has a background in retail, consulting as well as marketing. For Douglas, he had a background in alcohol distribution and food science. They connected through a mutual friend, and interestingly, they started the brand, having only met via zoom.
Douglas used to look for ways to reach a state of ‘zen,’ and that’s when he thought of the word ‘jolt.’ Combining these two words resulted in the brand’s name ‘Zolt.’ The brand combines plants with science to bring people full-body wellness. Their biggest challenge in launching the brand was pivoting their distribution strategy.
